London 2023 - Learning Journey
At Buckingham Palace our Apprentices were given an insightful tour of the Palace kitchen. Understanding more about how Head Chef Chris manages the food operations across all Royal residences requires a lot of planning. Pastry Chef Lucy has a large Pastry kitchen which would be the envy of many Chefs.
BP as it is affectionately known is a no photo zone however the Footman, Conservation and Housekeeping teams left a lasting impression telling us more about their roles with such dedication and passion.
Tuesday's visit to Nyetimber tasting the finest English sparkling wine from this award winning vineyard. The first producer of English sparkling wine to exclusively grow the three celebrated grape varieties Pinot Noir, Pigot Meunier and Chardonnay.
Brand Ambassador Sophie Robertson carried out a fantastic wine tasting of the Nyetimber range for our apprentices. Starting with the Classic Cuvee and finishing with the Cuvee Cherie it was hard to pick a favourite however the Tillington Single Vineyard 2014 was exceptional.
Our apprentices enjoyed the view from the 28th Floor and their dining experience - Galvin at Windows. Amazing food and wonderful service from the team.
London Learning Journey - Day 2
An early start for our apprentices to see the best seafood arriving and being prepared at Billingsgate Market. Our host Jeff Steadman showed the apprentices seafood from around the UK and as far as the Indian Ocean.
A great opportunity to see such a variety of seafood and inspire our Chef apprentices.
